Tower Court is a council led award winning housing scheme that caters to the specific needs of the local Haredi Jewish community. I was lucky to design the play infrastructure for this project while working for muf architecture/art LLP.

With the inclusion of family sized social units on the lower levels as well as a close proximity to local schools there was a need to integrate informal play spaces in amongst the courtyards and periphery spaces.

A special commission was earmarked in the construction budget for the design and integration of a series of design specials including 13 ‘play bridges’. Some of these took inspiration from bridges over the nearby canal while others a trip to Venice.
